I also put up a picture of the first picture from "deep space" (historically). the picture is from 1966 (Aug. 23rd) and was taken 232,000 miles from earth. Earth is just a quarter crescent... the lunar orbiter that took the picture is about 730 miles above the moon, so it's really big in the picture and you can see all the craters. It's in black and white, but it's still cool.
